Recently, there has been a lot of discussion about the Rockies’ poor performance and it’s warranted. However, even with all the losing lately, the Rox are .500 on the road for the season. Last year, if they had played .500 on the road, they would’ve won the NL West.
The problem this year is that they’re 11-10 at home. That’s unacceptable. Last year, they were nineteen games over at Coors. They haven’t had a losing season at home since 2005 when they went 40-41.
That’s why this week’s homestand is very important. If they want to be competitive this year, the Rox have to play better at home. Period. It needs to start this week. June is just around the corner.
Today is a dream for any Rockies’ fan. Double header’s are always fun, but they’re even better when the Rockies have De La Rosa and Chacin starting.
I apologize for the brevity of this post. Honestly, it kind of feels like cheating, but I just wanted to mention how crappy they’ve been at home. We’ll have something else posted this afternoon.
Let’s wrap this up with a little motivation for the big day.
