Should the Rockies bring back Jim Tracy?

Right now, it seems like everyone has turned against Jim Tracy.  Our comments section has been full of Tracy hate lately, most of which I’m in agreement with.  The man has been making some very curious decisions all season and his inability to think outside the box is driving all of us crazy, at least that’s what it seems like.  I’m wondering if there is anyone out there that actually supports Jim. So, what do you think?  Should he be back?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Personally, I am desperate for them to make a move in the managerial position, but I also know that there is no way in the world it’ll happen. There’s too many excuses ( some legit, many not so much ) built in for the axe to come down. People like Good Ol’ Jim, and unless he’s found in bed with a kodiak bear or something, I just don’t see any way that he’s replaced. Which is truly unfortunate.

I disagree. If you’re the owner of a team, and your skipper doesn’t get your team to the playoffs even though they’re on the cusp of being the best team they’ve ever been, you’re gonna get cut. Unfortunately, Tracy’s contract goes THROUGH 2012 if I’m not mistaken. Yeah, cut his ass. Whatever he is doing is not working. The lottery lineups, the confusion at positions, his favoring older veterans instead of young pros with futures, his blunders with the bullpen. He is awful. A total shmuck. I’m shocked Felipe Paulino isn’t still starting in Denver.

Cutting Felipe Paulino after less than 20 innings was one of the many blunders Tracy has made this year. He has been pretty good for KC since we gave him away, after trading Barmes for him. He sure couldn’t have been a worse starter than Greg Reynolds, Aaron Cook, Clayton Mortensen, etc. have been this year.

He totally screwed Ian Stewart too. Give the guy more than 50 ABs – it’s not like Wiggy or anyone else did much better. When the season was lost a month ago, why not ride out Stewy and see if he can turn it around, or at least make another team want to trade for him? Now he will be non-tendered and lost for nothing.

I still can’t get over his latest man-crush, Eliezer Alfonzo. You have a top 10 catcher in Iannetta, and you bat him 8th, never higher. But now Alfonzo hits one grand slam, and all of a sudden he hits 6th every other day (even 4th one game!).

The Paulino thing was predicted. That’s what really drives me nuts about it.

Yeah all they had to do was look at his underlying peripherals for 2 minutes and it was obvious that he had to improve. But did they? Nope.

    Here’s what i’m thinking:

Sell the Rockies to Marc Cuban and let him run the team. We’d have a WS ring in 3 years, I guarantee it.

Simone, I grew up a Mavs fan. Needless to say, I’m completely on board with that. I honestly think he is the best owner in sports. He’s smart, forward thinking, rich, and most of all, he just wants to win. They were the laughing stock of basketball when he bought the team. Now they are the champs. And, they’ve had like 11 straight 50 win seasons. Him buying the Rox would be a dream come true.

While I also agree with this, the baseball owners would never allow Cuban into the MLB. They pretty already hinted that when it was speculated that he was interested in the Cubs. Cuban would bring some spark into the game and it would be great.
