Rockies Facebook account…comedy?

Not sure if you follow the Rockies on Facebook, but you probably do if you’re reading this blog. If you do you have seen these two pictures over the past two days.

First, yesterday this picture was posted:

Accompanying the picture was this description:

In the player parking lot yesterday, CarGo strikes a pose inside his red sports car during the August Rockies Magazine cover shoot. This photo was taken from the 485′ platform in left field, right next to the scoreboard. And make sure to note the fireworks setup in the top left corner.

Then this tweet from @RockiesRoad pretty much sums up my thoughts

I can understand the need for the picture to accompany an upcoming issue of Rockies magazine, but posting it on Facebook and Twitter just doesn’t sit right with me, either. Based on a few of the comments on the Rockies Facebook RockiesRoad and I aren’t the only ones who feel this way.

Then today comes this gem of a picture:

My first thought? Who is more happy to pose in the picture, the girl or Friedrich? Friedrich should be paying her! I don’t want my picture with any of the current Rockies but if there is a tip jar to get my picture taken with her – count me in! I got 20 on it!

(I find it hard to believe this girl would look as good if she was wearing baggy mom jeans and a sweater. And since when do those clothes not fit? I could easily find pictures of girls wearing clothes that do not fit and it isn’t pretty)

(Because every fan thinks his/her team’s players should be practicing 24/7. I wonder if this guy works at his job 24/7? Would he be upset if Friedrich went to sleep at night, or should he be practicing then, too?)

Shane xxxxxxxx Yet another example of cheap Rockies ownership.

(Did the Rockies spend like well over $200 million this past offseason? I know people love to call them cheap but those cars that Tulo – and the one CarGo is posing in above – were paid for by that cheap Rockies ownership. It’s not the spending, it’s who they choose to spend on…Cuddy…)

(Ugh, hate to end on that note, but I need to put on some cologne and head down to Coors and see if that girl is still lingering around (don’t tell my wife))
